Pioneer Valley Chapter Scholarship Winner 2018

The Pioneer Valley Chapter of the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA) held its scholarship awards night on May 8, 2018 at the Castle of the Knights in Chicopee. Holyoke Credit Union’s Joseph Werenski of South Hadley was one of the winners of a $2,000 scholarship from the CCUA.
Joseph, son of Jacqueline Charron and Edward Werenski, is a senior at South Hadley High School, where he is graduating first in his class. He plans to attend the University of Colorado Boulder in the fall majoring in Chemical Engineering.
Some of Joseph’s extracurricular activities include being a member of the Student Council for four years, acting as Treasurer for the last two, SHHS Varsity Indoor Track Team, Varsity Track and Field, and Varsity Cross-Country. He is a member of the SHHS Math Team, Leo Club and National Honor Society. Among his many volunteer activities, he has volunteered for the American Red Cross Blood Drives, “Bag the Community” food drives, Special Olympics, just to name a few.
